Yorkshire, West Riding Freemasons Visit Centre To Donate Generous Grant

Cavendish Cancer Care were delighted to welcome the Yorkshire, West Riding Freemasons to the centre today. The Freemasons generously pledged to donate £60,000 to the charity over the course of three years, which will fund the salary of our assessor, Paula (pictured below.)

The Masons were shown a therapy room and enjoyed a talk from Paula, who explained the benefits of the assessment process as part of the unique Cavendish model of care. They then had the chance to hear from Carly, Peter, Jane and Margaret, who have all used the centre in the past, and three of whom now regularly volunteer on reception or as part of the Buddies scheme.

It was a pleasure for us to meet the Masons and hear about the great work they do supporting causes in our community and across the country.
