  • Will, Adrian and Mick cycle 101 miles for Cavendish!

    October 28, 2019

On the 20th October, Will, Adrian and Mick tackled 101 miles of stunning Peak District Tarmac, climbing over 11,000 feet in the process.

“We were blessed with good weather for the first sixty miles of the ride, and despite the relentless climbs enjoyed the fantastic scenery in all its autumn finery. As the miles wore on and some legs wore out, we found ourselves riding against increasingly strong headwinds and into driving drizzle. We rolled home in the dusk nine and a half hours after setting off. Thanks to Dan, Andrew, Mike and Mandy for their support and to all those who have donated.

“We are raising money for Cavendish Cancer Care as they provided fantastic support to my wife Gill during her illness, and also to my stepson Gabriel after her death,” says Will. “I cannot hold Cavendish Cancer Care in higher regard.”

So far the team have raised an amazing £2,021! You can still sponsor them by visiting Justgiving.com/fundraising/William-Husband.
