Local business networking group, 4Networking (Sheffield Meadowhall), has welcomed the new year in by pledging support for Cavendish Cancer Care, having chosen us as their area nominated Charity.

Cavendish Cancer Care Fundraiser and member of 4Networking, Victoria Wood, is delighted that her charity has been chosen. “This will help to raise much-needed funds and enable us to continue the amazing work already being carried out across the region. The partnership will also help raise our profile and increase awareness of the issues being faced by all those affected by this disease – both directly and indirectly” she explained.

“The members of the Sheffield 4Networking group will be able to make contributions themselves at the fortnightly breakfast meetings, and they will be highlighting the charity throughout the national network, giving us some great exposure.”

With groups meeting over breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the country, 4Networking is the UK’s only joined-up business network that gives its members the chance to attend over 5,000 meetings and network up to 5 days a week – with a guaranteed three one-to-one business meetings every time.  The group’s Area Leader, Bob Brown, said “We are very happy to support Cavendish Cancer Care, particularly as it is a local Sheffield charity, helping them to carry out their very special work to support cancer sufferers and their families.

Regular donations come from fun fine systems at meetings for things like someone’s phone going off or for unfunny heckling” he explained.

Victoria has plans to run a series of campaigns and events in collaboration with 4Networking, hoping to raise significant funds for the charity.
