  • Vicky: My Cavendish in 25 Words

    January 18, 2016

To celebrate our 25th year, our staff, therapists, volunteers and board have shared 25 words about what Cavendish Cancer Care means to them.

    Vicky GaughanVicky Gaughan:

Vicky has been a body psychotherapist since 1994. She has a Bsc in Therapeutic Counselling, an MA in Psychological Therapies and also practices and teaches Hakomi. Vicky is a member of the European Association of Body Psychotherapists. Vicky has been involved in the Cavendish Centre since 2005. ‘A client recently shared that she’d found a refuge inside, this I think came about because Cavendish is an external refuge’.

Here are Vicky’s 25 words about what Cavendish means to her:

A safe container to hold it all; dark thoughts, unspeakable words, release pent-up feelings. A refuge to be: without judgement or pressure and with understanding.
