  • 13-year-old Scarlett running 54 miles for Cavendish

    May 31, 2019

Scarlett, 13, is taking on the challenge of running 54 miles – the equivalent of 2 marathons – over 9 weeks, to raise money for Cavendish Cancer Care.

“I am doing 54 miles over the space of 9 weeks for Cavendish Cancer Care, because I really want to help people be happy,” writes Scarlett on her JustGiving page. “This is something I really want to do, because my grandad died of cancer when I was in Year 2 [aged 7], so I know how hard it can be for people going through cancer treatment and their families.

“It has been fun but also hard work! So far I have run 30 miles, as two 6 mile runs a week. I now have 24 miles left to run!”

You can support Scarlett through her challenge by sponsoring her page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/scarlett-chester, and keep up with her adventures on her blog: https://triplecrunning.home.blog/.
