  • Press release: Local Boutique Hosts Charity Fashion Show for the 20th year running

    September 25, 2015

11705368_975875772463498_1613812191928151023_nSheffield’s most renowned independent fashion boutique, Sister, is hosting their autumn charity fashion show for the 20th year running. This successful event supports a different local charity every year and showcases the latest trends for the upcoming season. This year all funds raised will be donated to Cavendish Cancer Care.

On Wednesday 11th November at 1pm and 7pm, six models will take to the catwalk in outfits from Sister’s latest winter collections including high end designers Riani, D. Éxterior, Luisa Cerano, Bernshaw and Marc Cain to name a few. And not forgetting that these collections will be accessorised with Michael Kors handbags and Alpe premium boots.

This will be Bernshaw’s last ever autumn/winter collection after 70 years of trading. The company specialises in eveningwear, having dressed some of the most glamorous women in history from Twiggy, to Darcey Bussell.

“I really look forward to hosting these events. It’s great to support local charities and it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our beautiful brands to our customers in this way. This year is particularly special with us having the last Bernshaw autumn winter collection. It’s a fabulous brand and we will be sorry to see it go,” said Lisa Hempstock, owner.

With having said goodbye to Bernshaw, Sister will be welcoming new brand, Caractere, to the catwalk this year. Caractere’s timeless collection has rewritten femininity for the working woman with nostalgic 70s themes, perfect for this season’s trend.

Victoria Wood, for Cavendish Cancer Care, said: “As a small, independent charity we rely on the generous support of local people and businesses to keep our doors open. Without businesses like Sister offering their support, we simply couldn’t support the 1500 families that we see every year who are affected by cancer. We’re thrilled that Sister have chosen to raise money for us and look forward to the day.”

Guests need to register their interest for the event by email at admin@sisteronline.co.uk or by telephone on 01142671330 for their names to be put on the guest list. The event is £5, which can be paid over the phone or on the night. All proceeds go to Cavendish Cancer Care.

There will be 15% off selected lines all day, a free gift on purchases over £100, a raffle with fantastic prizes from the designers, and a drink on arrival.
