  • Martin Brooks roofing presentation

    July 5, 2013

Sheffield’s roofing specialists, Martin-Brooks, has put smiles on the faces of half a dozen small charities by distributing the proceeds from its most recent fundraising efforts.

The firm held a special presentation lunch at its Darnall-based headquarters to hand over another £5,000 from its 25th anniversary fund Split between Cavendish Cancer Care and their five other nominated local charities.

The firm is continuing its fundraising drive in a bid to reach its £25,000 target – set to mark its 25th anniversary – with events including an annual golf day, sponsored runs and cycles and a proposed themed dinner.

Martin-Brooks director, John Elmore, said: “Our fundraising efforts have highlighted what a difference support from the local business community can make to the very smallest charities. It was a pleasure to meet representatives from the six organisations accepting donations this time and to hear how we can benefit the people they assist. Understanding how much invaluable work is undertaken by these dedicated and enthusiastic groups really underlines why we set out to raise this money and will spur us on to our target.”
