Kath gone wild! A year of fundraising…
March 5, 2018
Kath has been an active Cavendish volunteer for over 17 years after using the centre herself, she’s been helping others whilst being on her own journey of fighting & living with two types of cancer. As well as her amazing contributions to volunteering for our centre she’s also giving back, over the past year and longer she has set up many different charity fundraisers for us, from cream tea afternoons, to garden party’s, dog walks and cocktail masterclasses Kath has so far managed to raise over £10,000 on her Just Giving page!!
Though she’s not done yet, ever increasing her fundraising goal this month she’s embarking on her hardest challenge yet. Kath will be taking on an 8-day husky sled trek, tackling rolling highlands and deep forests across 260km of frozen wilderness in the arctic all in aid of Cavendish Cancer Care. In light of the recent chaos caused by the snow in Britain it’s no wonder that Kath’s task will be momentous, which is why she needs all the support she can get!
