Job Vacancy Finance Assistant
Are you an experienced finance assistant within a healthcare or office setting who would like to help make a difference to the lives of local families affected by cancer?
Cavendish Cancer Care has over 30 years’ experience in providing emotional and physical support to patients and their family members offering professional counselling, body-based therapies, wellbeing groups and courses, and specialist support for children and young people. We work alongside the NHS providing a service which complements and supports medical treatment.
We are looking for a finance assistant who will work across all areas of the organisation’s finance department, including maintenance of accounting records, inputting of data relating to grants, donations and other income, payroll, pension contributions, and banking. Previous experience of working with financial management software is key to this role.
The finance assistant will work collaboratively with the Volunteer Manager and the Management Accountant to assist with the day-to-day financial responsibilities of the organisation, upkeep financial records accurately and provide insight into budgets to ensure cost management is upheld. They will report to the Centre Manager.

Experience in a similar finance role
Understanding of accounting concepts
Ability to interpret financial information
Intermediate Excel user
Experience of using financial management software (ie.QuickBooks/Sage)
Experience of payroll
Understanding of/experience with management accounts
Experience of using Quickbooks
Experience of using a CRM system
Experience of working for a charity
