  • Fundraising success for dance centre

    May 30, 2023

Foxtrot, Flamenco or Fandango whatever the step, it spells fundraising sucess for dance centre.

We’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone at the Constance Grant Dance Centre for their continued support for their latest donation of £598.45 from the recent class presentation performance. The dance stars held an evening of fun and dancing at which parents of pupils at the centre generosly made donations to us.

The Constance Grant Dance Centre was established in 1925 by the late Constance Grant and her husband the late Harry Silvester. Their combined talents soon developed a large school of high standards, this tradition was carried forward by their daughter, the late Judith Silvester and then by their Granddaughters Tracey Southern and Karen Siddall. Today the dance centre is run by Tracey Southern (Principal) and Jessica Spick (Dance Centre Manager).

Their record speaks for itself. For nearly 100 years The Constance Grant Dance Centre has helped children, young people and adults to follow their dreams. Many have enjoyed successful careers in professional theatre. In 2000 the School received the House of Commons Award in recognition of 75 years service to the community.
