    Our Story
We are two sisters with a love of bright colours, feel good words and a desire to share the love of creativity which lead us to create the clothing brand, Northern Brights. Inspired by our wonderful dad, we created a star in his memory which is featured on all our products and appears on the left sleeve of each of our garments. To us, this means not only having a little piece of him in all that we do but we hope that the star can help you to create your own special meaning too. As a family, we have been lucky enough to receive support from the wonderful Cavendish Cancer Care. Our lovely mum was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer in March 2017. She had the most amazing care at Calow hospital where she underwent a huge operation followed by chemotherapy at Weston Park. During this time she received some wonderful holistic therapy from the Cavendish Centre, boosting her emotionally and physically which hugely aided her recovery. We will be forever grateful that she is now fit and well and able to enjoy life to the full. A year later, dad was diagnosed with an extremely rare melanoma inside his nose. He had an operation to remove the tumour and received radiotherapy. It was during this time that dad received Reiki and acupuncture which left him feeling much more positive and energised. We also received holistic therapies which were such a great support to us, helping us to deal with all that was happening.
Sadly, the cancer spread and our beloved dad died on 19th October 2019. We miss him terribly but will be forever thankful for the support we all received.
This Christmas, we would love to raise some money for this incredible charity as a thank you for looking after us, our family and many of our friends
15% of all Christmas Bubble Tree ChariTee (and sweatshirt) sales will go into supporting the wonderful work of the Cavendish Cancer Care Centre. Thank you so much for your support. Love Jess & Han xx
