Challenge 230
July 22, 2021
In June 2020, the Collins-Clark family’s life changed, when son Josh was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
The family were away on holiday 230 miles away in Poole. However, thanks to the ambulance service, Josh and his family were able to get back to Sheffield, where Josh began treatment.
Throughout Josh’s treatment, mum Harriet and brother Finley have both benefitted from Cavendish’s support, in the form of play therapy and counselling sessions. This support has been crucial to the family, and mum and dad Harriet & Ben note how they are “so appreciative of the support given” and that as a family they’ve “benefitted massively”.
As a token of their grattitude, Harriet, Ben, Josh and Finley have created ‘Challenge 230’ (representing the 230 mile journey that allowed Josh to get the treatment he needed in Sheffield)… and you can help!
The idea is simple – set yourself any challenge incorporating the number 230 (you could run 230km over a month, complete 230 minutes of exercise, or do 230,000 steps… the world is your oyster!)
