  • Cavendish announced as one of Sheffield United Football Club’s Chosen Charities!

    September 9, 2019

We are pleased to announced that we are one of Sheffield United’s chosen charities for the coming year. The Blades, who were last in the top flight in 2007, are relishing in their promotion to The Premier League this season and working with some incredible local charities, including St Luke’s Hospice, Weston Park Cancer Charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Children’s Hospital Charity and Cash for Kids.

We will make our debut collecting at the SUFC vs Southampton match at Bramall Lane on Saturday 14th September. We encourage everyone attending the game to donate £1. If 10% of attendees donate £1, this can fund 120 hours of therapy at the centre. As part of this day, Cavendish will be in and around the stadium – we encourage everybody to get involved!

“This is an incredible partnership for our charity,” says Cavendish CEO Emma Draper. “Each year, Cavendish support over 1,900 families, but we only receive enough NHS funding to keep our doors open for two weeks. This means they rely almost entirely on the generosity of the public, and amazing partnerships such as this. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to team up with Sheffield United, and make a huge difference for local people.”
