  • Cake Break at the Harland Cafe

    April 14, 2014

Café, coffee, cake, music…and a local MP – all in the name of charity

Cavendish Cake Break LogoLocal MP, Paul Blomfield has teamed up with the lovely people at the Harland Café to host an afternoon of coffee, cake and music all in support of a our work.  Paul, who is a patron, is taking part in the Cake Break campaign, to raise funds and raise awareness of our work.

As if an afternoon in the Easter Break, sitting in a café, drinking tea or coffee and eating cake wasn’t enough of an excuse to raise funds for a great local cause, the Harland Café, who have a reputation for supporting local musicians and artists have managed to throw some great local music in to the mix. Alex of local band Isembard’s Wheel will be on hand to keep people entertained as they tuck into their delicious cakes.

The Harland Café, well known for supporting local charity, is doing its bit to support Cavendish Cancer Care and Sara, the owner of the Harland Café, said “We wanted to get involved and keep things simple. All people have to do, to make a difference, is to come along, buy one of our delicious cake deals, listen to some great tunes and you’re doing your bit for Cavendish Cancer Care who support local cancer patients and their families – it couldn’t be easier.”

Paul Blomfield MP has been a patron of Cavendish Cancer Care for over 2 years and said:

I am really happy to be able to help this charity that makes a difference to the lives of so many local people who are living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. Come along and join us for a slice of cake and support their fantastic work.

It all starts at 2.30pm on Wednesday 23rd April 2014 at The Harland Café on John Street, so come along. For more information, please visit www.harlandcafe.co.uk
