Following the sad death of music icon David Bowie this month, we are proud to be hosting a night celebrating his music and legacy with Yellow Arch Studios – all whilst raising money for local families living with cancer.

The event, Sound and Vision (named after Bowie’s 1977 single) is set to appeal to all ages of Bowie fans, and will take place at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield on Friday 5th February. The date coincides with the first anniversary of the venue’s official opening and our 25th anniversary year.

    Our CEO, Chris Farrell, said:

“David Bowie’s family have said in the press this week that they want to encourage people to celebrate his life and achievements rather than mourn his loss. Bowie was a true genius and British icon and he will be fondly remembered by millions. We all have individual memories of his music and what better way to celebrate them than by coming together to raise money for a local cancer charity.”

Earlier this week, Bowie’s family released a statement encouraging people to hold events in his memory, saying:

“Just as each and every one of us found something unique in David’s music, we welcome everyone’s celebration of his life as they see fit.”

Demand for tickets is expected to be high with a strictly limited number of early bird tickets available soon from the Yellow Arch web site priced at £5.

Earlybird tickets are just £5 and available from www.yellowarch.com soon.
