Aviva employees – we need your help!

This November, we are delighted to be a part of the Aviva Community Fund. The scheme provides each Aviva employee with £25 to be donated to a charity of their choice from amongst those chosen to be part of the scheme. If you know someone who is an Aviva employee or are an employee yourself, please consider giving your support to Cavendish – you could make a big difference to someone facing cancer. Donations from the Aviva Community Fund will help to expand and improve our hybrid model of care, incorporating face-to-face and online therapy and support. In addition to the strain and anxiety associated with a cancer diagnosis, the stress caused by COVID-19, uncertainty around treatment options and the changing global circumstances made it even more important that we continued to provide our vital services. Our quick adjustment to delivering therapies via telephone or video calls has allowed one-to-one and group sessions to continue being delivered to clients throughout the pandemic.
We have received extremely positive feedback from people who accessed online services and since returning to the centre, we have continued to provide services both online and in person to ensure that therapies are accessible to all who need us, resulting in a hybrid model of therapy delivery.
We will continue to improve the hybrid model to ensure everyone can access the support they need, regardless of their situation, but this will only be possible with the support of our local community and schemes such as the Aviva Community Fund.
