Therapist

Are you looking for a new opportunity to join our well-established team at Cavendish Cancer Care?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapist to join the team at Cavendish Cancer Care. You will be contributing to a key part of the service supporting and working directly with patients, carers and families affected by a diagnosis of cancer and during bereavement. This post involves working with patients and carers in the role of complementary therapist. A recognised qualification in either Reiki or Healing, and at least one other complementary therapy, is essential.

You will need:
– A Level 3 qualification, with a minimum of 3 years post training experience, and evidence of CPD
– Registration with the relevant professional/regulatory body OR a Level 4 qualification, with a minimum of one year’s post training experience.

Therapies may be delivered either at the main Centre or as part of the Outreach services for patients at Weston Park Hospital, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Macmillan Palliative Care Unit at the Northern General Hospital and the Macmillan Information and Support Centre at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Cavendish Cancer Care is a registered charity offering professional care and support, free of charge to people affected by a diagnosis of cancer.

Hours: Variable up to 10 hours per week. Self-employed.

Part-time Hub Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new person to join the team at Cavendish Cancer Care to work at our Information Hub based in the Sheffield Market.

The Hub seeks to raise awareness of cancer and encourages the uptake of services by people living with and beyond cancer. The main focus of the role is to provide information and signposting to the general public. The Information Hub is open 5 days a week – Monday to Friday 10am-4pm.

Hours: 15 hours per week (self-employed, with some sickness and holiday cover)
Salary: £10 per hour
