Ladies Lunch 2018

Its that time again for Cavendish Cancer Care’s annual Ladies Lunch! This year’s Lunch will be held on Friday the 28^th of September 2018 at INOX Dine.   The event is always an extremely enjoyable day along with providing the opportunity to fund raise for your local cancer charity.  The event will start at 11.30am and will include lots of exciting aspects such as, fashion, shopping and food stalls.  Tickets are £36 and can be purchased individually or as a table of 8.

By attending our events you can help provide a place for people to find calm and nurturing support as they start to understand their situation.  Your support will help people like Ruth. Ruth was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 50; she had two daughters and was working in a high pressure job. Cavendish supported her through her chemotherapy with sessions of reiki. Since then she has volunteered for Cavendish Cancer Care and become a Cavendish Cancer Buddy.

“(Without Cavendish) It would have been horrendous; I wouldn’t have coped as well as I have. Cavendish made me feel more positive and think yes I can do it, yes I can still work.”

“I always knew that if I needed anything I could come to Cavendish. I know even now as a volunteer that if I was getting upset they’d help me out. What we do at Cavendish is very worthwhile and I don’t know what people would do without it.”

You can help us to carry on supporting people like Ruth by attending our ladies Lunch this year.  Cavendish Cancer Care is an independent charity and receive little funding meaning the support of local people, like yourselves is vital to continue the work we do.
