Dallas came into the fold in 2003 when she was diagnosed with cancer. After her initial treatment she returned to work as a teacher, but soon discovered she was not the same person. However, this coincided with Cavendish needing admin support, and now she works in our finance department. She felt that, in whatever way she could, that she needed to help keep the doors open for others who would hear that same awful word. Life is good, shared with her dog Archie, who features regularly in Cavendish pictures!
Community & Outreach Manager
Before taking an early retirement, Kim worked for a large housing organisation, as director of their specialist / supported housing service. Following that, Kim trained in France in the preparation of natural beauty products and perfumes, and set up a natural beauty company. Kim started to work for Cavendish Cancer Care in 2017, as an Information Coordinator at the Cancer Information Hub based in Sheffield Moor Market. Kim took up her post as Community & Outreach Manager in March 2019. Kim is responsible for managing the service out in the community, including the Cancer Information Hub, Chesterfield Outreach Service, and Cavendish Cancer Buddies. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, and continues to make beauty products.
When you arrive you will be greeted by one of our friendly reception team who will welcome you with tea, coffee and biscuits. The team is supported by a number of valued volunteers who all make sure we offer a calming and warm reception to all our clients and their loved ones.
