  • Waddle’s waddle

    May 8, 2013

Almost 100 people joined former Sheffield Wednesday star  and Cavendish patron Chris Waddle for a six-mile walk to raise £4,000 for charity. Waddle’s Waddle was organised by Cavendish Cancer Care, where ex-England international Chris is a patron.

Walkers met at Chatsworth House and could take part in either a two-mile walk, aimed at younger families, or a longer six-mile walk for those who felt more adventurous.

I felt passionately about the walk because it supported the brilliant work Cavendish Cancer Care carries out in providing free support to people in Sheffield and North East Derbyshire affected by cancer. Chris Waddle

It’s important to have fun when you’re fundraising. We wanted people to come along and have a good time. The bonus is that the day’s events have not only been successful in terms of the monies raised but that people showing their support had a good time. Sally Eustace

Thanks to all those people and Chris Waddle for fundraising tirelessly towards our cause.
