The Sheffield Medics Netball Club are our Lockdown Legends!

The lockdown period saw a lot of us upping our activity and finding new and safe things to do with friends. The Sheffield Medics Netball Club are fantastic supporters of Cavendish, having previously taken part in the Sheffield 10k and Sheffield Half Marathon to raise much needed sponsorship for our services.

We’re massively grateful to the Club for continuing their support this year, and not letting anything get in the way of their fundraising clout! Throughout July, they set themselves the challenge of running, cycling, or walking the length of 200,000 netball courts. The team originally set the target at 100,000 courts, but soon found they could go much further than that!

“The challenge of racing to complete 200,000 netball courts in July was the least we could do to support this amazing charity, who provide a wonderful service to those in need! It also provided a great sense of camaraderie and fun over the lockdown period for the SMNC ladies.”

The girls did a brilliant job getting the word out there, raising £1,225 in sponsorship.
