Eddie’s Tough Mudder
June 5, 2015
Big thanks go to Eddie Smith (pictured left) who last weekend took on the challenge of the Tough Mudder. Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won’t find anywhere else. Eddie took on this challenge to raise funds for us because of the support we have shown to members of his family. Eddie Said:
“Taking part in the Tough Mudder is a fantastic experience raising money for Cavendish in the process makes it even more worthwhile.”
“Particular highlights for me were the Arctic Enemy (this is being submersed in Ice Cold water not once but twice), Electric Shock Therapy (does what it said on the tin and feels like you are being punched again and again) and for me the mud mile was great fun (running up and down mud hills and falling back in the muddy water again and again). The event is all about helping other Mudders to complete the course and this makes it different to any other event”
“I am very proud to be able to donate the sponsorship to the Cavendish Cancer Care who do a fantastic job helping people dealing with Cancer. Roll on the next one………”
Thanks to Eddie for his fantastic effort we are really impressed with his hard work, well we are definitely more impressed that his daughter Mia. Who looked quite underwhelmed with the head band he was awarded.
If you are inspired to take on Tough Mudder the next one is in August with entries online HERE or give the fundrasing team a call for a chat we can help with sponsor forms and support.
