Cavendish Cancer Buddies are here to listen to you !
Ann Hetherington the Head of Service at Cavendish says “We are very pleased to introduce a new form of support at the Cavendish Centre which will enable us to provide more support to people affected by cancer ”.
Cavendish Cancer Buddies are a group of volunteers who have either had cancer themselves or have cared for someone with cancer. Because they have “been there” they can listen to the things that people can’t always say to their family and friends, and won’t judge what you say.
They can phone you regularly at a time that suits you both or meet for a coffee and a chat.
Anyone who is interested in being supported by a buddy should ring the Cavendish centre on 0114 278 4600 and leave their contact details with the reception staff. One of the buddy team will get back to you within 5 days.
