Sign up to the Festive 5 x 5 Challenge this Christmas and raise money for Cavendish Cancer Care.
The Festive 5 x 5 Challenge is the perfect way to work off those much loved mince pies and tremendous turkey . It’s perfect for walkers and runners alike – you don’t have to be a marathon finisher, or a regular hiker to take part. There are three levels and you can pick which challenge suits you. Complete your Festive 5 x 5ks and earn a Team Cav medal!
Kicking off on Boxing Day you’ll have all the Christmas and New Year period to get involved.
Festive 5 x 5 – 2 weeks
You have 2 weeks to complete 5 x 5ks. You can complete the 5ks any time throughout your chosen fortnight, just draft up your walking or running schedule and get going!
Festive 5 x 5 – 1 week
You have 1 week to complete 5 5ks. For this level, you have 1 week to complete your set 5 5ks. Once again, it’s up to you how you spread these out within the week – what about Monday to Friday so you have the weekend off? Be sure to complete your 5ks within 7 days!
Festive 5 x 5 – 1 day
You have only 24 hours to complete 5 x 5ks! Run or walk your set 25k in 1 day. Make sure you factor in some rest time!
Want an even bigger challenge? You could even complete all three levels, one after the other. Phew!
The Festive 5 x 5 Challenge will be running from Boxing Day until 10th January. We’ll be here to support you and cheer you on as you do your 2 week, 1 week, or 1 day stint (or all three!). Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’ll be promoting a variety of easy to challenging routes to inspire you. You can complete your own well-known trail or explore somewhere new.
There’s no booking fee to take part – all we ask is that you rally the support of your friends and family by asking for a donation in sponsorship. Every penny you raise will help us enormously as we continue to support those who have been affected by cancer.
£55 will cover the cost of 2 hours of professional therapy for someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, or caring for someone with the disease – raise this amount and you will be providing care to someone who needs it the most right now.
