Cavendish Extra Day – We kept the lights on
March 10, 2016
We’d just like to say a massive thanks to everyone who supported our Cavendish Extra Day campaign. This year was a leap year which gave our fundraising team at the centre a small headache of having to find an extra days funding. It costs us around £1800 per day to keep providing care support and complementary therapies to cancer patients and their families. On the 29th The Lord Mayor of Sheffield hosted an open evening at The Cavendish Centre so we targeted ourselves with raising the money to fund the extra day as we were keen to have the lights on when he got here !
From our smallest donation of £2.36, the generosity of shoppers at Marks and Spencer customers whom we bag packed for at lunchtime raising £242 while they enjoyed local band Cocklebread and £253 from a pub quiz at The Rising Sun at Fulwood. Every penny donated on the day meant we did reach our target and surpass it in the end raising £2024.87.
Thank you
