Cavendish founder joins Carlton 10K
October 28, 2013
David Simons continues to show his support for Cavendish Cancer Care, which he founded. On 24th November he will be taking part in the Carlton Palmer 10k alongside local football legend Carlton himself.
The last marathon David ran was in 1999 but 14 years later, he is determined to put his running shoes back on to raise awareness and support for the cause he holds so close to his heart.
I won’t be keeping up with Carlton but I will give the run my very best shot. I always feel humbled when people are willing to do something out of the ordinary to support this great cause.
He added, “Everyone walking or running on the day does so knowing they are making a real difference to the lives of local cancer patients and their families. Thanks to them we will be able to keep our doors open for patients present and future. It will be an incredibly proud day for me to be able to take part.”
