Our next Cavendish Club event is an exciting Cheese & Wine Night accompanied with charcuterie boards, hosted by The Northern Wine Guy. Get ready to tantalize your taste buds as we explore a variety of differing styles and grape varietals within a glass, paired with a selection of delectable cheeses and charcuterie.

We will be heading down to Lykke in New Era Square for an early evening of networking, good food and wine, and building connections.

About Andrew, The Northern Wine Guy

Andrew previously worked in London, Melbourne and Dublin in the investment banking sector for close to 20 years culminating in running global institutional businesses before pursuing his real passion as a career with wine and cheese firmly at the forefront. Having been fortunate enough to travel the world and research wine regions extensively, Andrew’s career in wine began close to a decade ago with initial wine and cheese qualifications. This culminated in a wine and cheese business that he created from scratch in Devon before returning to Sheffield after 20 years away.

Andrew founded The Northern Wine Guy to further demystify the wine industry and build out his extensive wine network, with corporate accounts across the UK and high net worth individuals looking for wine cellar designs. Andrew has also had hands on experience both in the winery and the vineyard as well as leading the market efforts of a UK vineyard.

Andrew also looks into fine wine investing and has a wide portfolio of clients who look at fine wine investment as an alternative asset marrying his two interests together. Having returned to Sheffield, Andrew now holds wine tastings and hostings across the city, has been commissioned to write in the national wine trade press, hosts two podcasts on wine which have a global presence and guest lecturers at Universities on a wide array of finance, investment banking, start up and equity raise topics.
