One of the region’s most testing feats of stamina is putting its full weight behind a local cancer care charity.

Endurer are aiming to help raise hundreds of pounds for Cavendish – the organisation that provides free care for over 1,500 people a year in the local región.

Runners are being encouraged to raise money for the charity that provides a wealth of services for cáncer sufferers.

Endurer has already donated places worth hundreds of pounds to the charity.

Pete Pollard of Endurer said: “We’re always looking at ways for our event to leave a lasting legacy. The race is run by people at the peak of fitness but we often forget that over 50% of us will be directly affected by cancer at some point in their lives. We’re only too glad to support Cavendish.”

Endurer is due to take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 23rd and 24th of September.

The Peak District-based race takes place on the muddy hills around Holmesfield and attracts hundreds of entries. Endurer was first launched five years ago.

Denise Crisell, Relationship Manager at Cavendish said: “We are delighted that Pete from Endurer has chosen Cavendish Cancer Care to support this year. We are looking to raise funds to help families in the Sheffield and North Derbyshire regions, living and coping with a cancer diagnosis. Emotional, psyhcological and physical support are essential when a person is going through their cancer journey.”

It comprises at 10k challenge on Saturday, September 23rd and an 8k versión on Sunday, September 24th.

Both courses comprise state-of-the-art obstacles, epic trails, thick mud and more!
